Anyway after a few scoops bought by me he says he was the head chef at the drum and monkey at Alderley edge. Come in and ask for me you can have a Sunday lunch and you and Mrs just pay for drinks! Sound 7 weeks later text and ring to drop in yeah no probs!! Sweet see you in 40mins. Hi its Adam got told to ask for nick ohhhh yeah please come in let's seat you and order drinks and we will send Nick out. Bull5hit never ever came out. Ordered mains and tbf the cheese ND onion pie and chips was decent but my Mrs chicken in mushroom sauce...
Personally for me if you are only going to offer a roast on a Sunday it has to be memorable. Mine was but unfortunately for the wrong reasons. Firstly bar the potatoes mine came with no vegetables not a problem my family shared, I wish they hadn’t if I had wanted to take up darts I could of used the carrots this was followed by soggy, cold roast potatoes and Yorkshire puddings that were like cardboard. I went for a lunchtime meeting and was impressed by the excellent food and wine, all reasonably priced. The service was friendly and efficient. Overall, a great experience! Price per person: £30–40. Food: 5/5, Service: 5/5, Atmosphere: 4/5.
Six months ago the drum seemed to have lost its way but with the new team in charge it is back with a bang. Great food, friendly staff and a very pleasant atmosphere. I have a local again. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
