During a recent business trip to Maryland, I discovered this fantastic spot. The sandwiches were exceptionally good, made with fresh ingredients and generously filled with all of your favorite toppings. It’s truly a hidden gem that is well worth your visit. Don’t let the limited front parking discourage you—there’s additional parking available right behind the building.
This place is run by one older older woman she only does simple sandwiches ice cream chips etc. but honestly the best sandwich I’ve ever eaten in my life if you are near here you should stop and pay her a visit and grab a sandwich he will not be disappointed I literally eat here every day when I’m in the area!
Maggie prepares an amazing brown bag lunch at The Duchess. She is a warm and cheerful woman who shared delightful stories while preparing my sandwich and coffee/oreo milkshake. Although the deli isn't upscale, you can leave with a smile after enjoying a tasty $5 lunch and a local newspaper!
As everyone else has mentioned, the sandwiches here are excellent and reasonably priced. Watching the owner at work adds to the overall experience. Finally tried this place everyone raves about. Truly delicious, super basic sandwiches. I think it's the white bread and real mayo, but also how crisp and fresh the lettuce and tomato are, the extremely thin sliced meat, and the ratio of meat, veg, and bread, which is great.
If your Mom makes great sandwiches like mine you'll love this place. Keep in mind there are only a few choices. This lady isn't my Mom, but she has clear Mom sandwich skills. The milkshake wasn't for me, but I'd try it again (basically a couple scoops milk in a blender).
This is a small place with a limited selection, but everything is incredibly fresh and satisfying. The woman preparing the sandwiches is very friendly. If you're looking for a filling, delicious sandwich for just $3.50, this is definitely the place to go.

Sure, its your average sandwich, but with lots of meat. The price alone should bring you in. The fact that it's made by an older lady with love and care will keep you coming back.
