For a hole in the wall place (not the good kind), their menu prices are very unreasonable. But, you get promised authentic food. The pizza ($24) was NOT authentic Italian pizza. I live in between NYC - little Italy, and the Gold Coast, I guarantee this is not authentic Italian pizza. The pizza crust was thin, but dry and flaky. The crust was inedible. The toppings on the pizza were so scarce you could not taste them. We ordered mushrooms, sopressa, Gorgonzola and rocket as our four toppings. There were possibly two small sized white button mushrooms so thinly sliced they were invisible, on an entire large pizza. The meat was harder to find, they would put more on a kids size pizza at dominoe...
Those that understand authentic tasting pasta and pizzas, will know it is about flavour and not about smothering something in cheese. Guaranteed to get the best gnocchi and the pizzas from here that are just like you would get in Italy. It is run by a lovely Italian family who dish up authentic Italian food with a great smile. It is a small restaurant and one which we only get takeaway from. There really isn't an atmosphere to have you wanting to sit in there for hours. The service is quick and while you are waiting pick up a jar of their Baba on the counter. Beautiful Italian cakes that are soaked in sweet white rum. Very potent. There is plenty of parking available.
Great experience have been here several times. Amazing gnocchi the best I have tasted with beautiful cheese sauces. Pizzas very much Italian as I have experienced in Italy recently. I love the thin pizza base and the fresh truly Italian style. Purely pasta gnocchi and pizza restaurant. A breath of fresh air. Great husband and wife team so friendly and inviting.
I gave the four stars for the food, the pizza is great, lots of choice of toppings, the ravioli ricotta is to die for!It really is a take away establishment, wouldn't be very good to eat in, by the way, the prices are reasonable and the servings generous.We go here often for the take away.

Love this little Italian restaurant. My husband and I often dine here the pizza is I think the best on the Coast, Just like traditional pizza should be made. The pasta is also very good . Good value for the Coast and restaurant very clean.Very friendly young Italian couple own this place.
Wow, i have eaten Italian in the past and at many places. Nothing i can think of on the Gold Coast could even come close to the genuine flavour and quality you get from Due Amici. Just a very friendly couple offering exceptional food. If ever i feel like Italian, this is where i go.
Some of the nicest gnocchi I have had the pleasure to devour... This place has very quickly become the place I now go for Italian on the coast, how this place is not more well known is beyond me!Will be back real soon, hopefully the stuffed gnocchi is still on the special!
Are here with a group of family for Easter and the service was wonderful, the owners are so lovely! Had the best penne bosciolla I have ever tasted and the specialise in gnocchi which was just delicious, melts in your mouth. Will definitely be back!

I have just returned from Europe and felt as if I'd stepped back into Venice devouring our Pizza and Gnocchi! Food was amazing and awesome service! Authentic Italian food!!
Quite authentic Italian and great atmosphere. Id recommend to those who like good food and not too expensive
