The food was great! Literally everything we ordered was cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious! We ordered the ackee and saltfish cups for appetizer. Delish! I ordered the steamed snapper with lobster tail, rice and peas, and cabbage. Omg it was amazing! And my aunt and uncle both ordered the curry goat and oxtail combo with rice and peas and cabbage. There was not one thing that wasn't absolutely amazing! We also ordered a side of festival which was PERFECT as well! The only complaint I have was my drinks. I ordered a mojito and was told there was nobody that knew how to make it. Which was fine, so I just ordered a jack and ginger ale. Our waitress brought me a jack and ginger beer....
I recently just went to this place today. My FIRST time I ordered a small Curry chicken with streamed veggies. The veggies were awesome.The first time I had 4 pieces of curry chicken opened the inside with a fork and it was pink and did not taste done. didn't take pic first time but, should have)So I went back inside to ask one of the crew members was I tripping? She said she had to go in the kitchen because the lights that were inside the front you really couldn't tell. My experience dining with a large group (20 people) at this restaurant was terrible. On a busy day like Mother's Day, the management should ensure they have enough staff to handle a large group. Our waitress tried her best to accommodate us, but despite placing our order before another waitress, our table's food was taken by the other waitress (we confirmed this). By 4:17 pm, after arriving at 1:30 pm, we still had not been fully served. Our waitress was fantastic and we felt sorry for her, but ultimately our group was not satisfied. Came here today for Sunday Brunch!!! Man I love the Caribbean vibes, Hip Hop R b vibes!!! I love how it's black owned!!! I ordered Ackee saltfish Callooo with dumpling banana. Salmon Grits. Mannnnnn, the food was fucking good. I'm so happy that the cooks are real Jamaican's. Our server Shaq was dope, he made sure we was good all times. I'm hookah head, it was good. Food was delicious as always however, 18% gratuity is a little bit outrageous considering I did not do a dine in all I did was make a order at the bar and take out and leave. so seems to me why would I pay 18% gratuity to someone to just take your order at the bar,, there was no service provided, just simply took my order,,
(Friday night)The drinks were good.The atmosphere was good, the crowd appeared to be 35 and up which was great.I ordered the wing basket, the fries were perfect, but I didn't like the flavor of the wings.The dj and the band were both great. I'll definitely return as I had a good time.
Uhmm they're getting kind of cheap now with the serving size I bought a large last week got like 4 oxtail with a mountain of rice..every one's cutting portions and charging more... I'll prob still be back though.. not much good, jamaican food choices in this area.
I absolutely love the atmosphere and the food! The Ackee and Saltfish was great! I've been thinking about it for weeks now!
