The food was good. Server was very polite but as far as it foes with the brunch menu, he was a little misinformed. We went for a Fathers Day Brunch. $45 p/p, I did not get my money's worth. It said 2 entree's and 2 sides and either porridge or spring rolls is included for the brunch special. The server insisted that it was just one starter, one entree, one side and bottomless mimosa's. That's false advertisment. I'm sure an oxtail dinner with ground provisions and a porridge is less than $45. My kids had the lobster toast with spring rolls for $45 as well. Had a fantastic dinner with my wife on Saturday night. This was our first time at Dunns River Lounge and it did not disappoint. The atmosphere was bright and the music set the Jamaican mood perfectly. The server was very helpful in deciding what cocktails and dishes we should have starting with the tropical storm punch and ginger beer tun up margarita to the callaloo saltfish, which was a nice mix of crispy plantains, codfish and greens (think spinach and collards). OMGOSHHHHHHHHH, I just did an uber eats and whoever the chef is here is really chefs kiss fr, I just had the best corn meal porridge in my life and I HATE corn meal porridge with everything in me!!!!! Don’t ever change them, I had some oxtails from here on my birthday last year and the jerk wings and it was so good now I just tried their breakfast and it’s amazing, hands down best jamaica food ever.
I ordered food and drinks and all of my order was put to go when I was planning on dining in. My girlfriend and I were not given water and our drinks were put in to-go cups. The drinks were entirely ice with very little flavoring and alcohol put into them. The food we ordered was over priced for the portion size. I will not be coming back here. I almost hate to give a review because everyone is going to overrun this place! Service was on point. The food, I thought was seasoned well and proportion met our need. The non alcoholic drinks were pretty as well as tasty. This is definitely a hidden gem and we plan to go back again. Much success to Duns River!!!
This was my first visit for a girls night and we LOVED it ! Outdoor patio was exactly what we were looking for in atmosphere. Javy was our server. Let me tell you, HE'S TOP NOTCH ! Food was great. Drinks, oh yeah KILLA ! Great experience and great value.
