Their food is amazing and made from scratch every day. They offer a wide variety of sandwiches and soups that are delicious. Their craft soda selection is extensive and it’s so fun to try the different flavors. And I can’t leave high enough praise for their Boston Cream puffs! My son’s girlfriend is from Massachusetts and I searched all over Minnesota for over a year trying to find Boston cream that lived up to a Massachusetts native’s expectations. This place is a God send and I can’t recommend it highly enough. And the staff is wonderful! Thank you Eat at Banning and 5th! We’ll be back often!
If you want delicious food, do yourself a favor and head over. Their salad dressings are made from scratch and that 's my favorite thing. The ranch is SOOO delicious! I haven 't tried others but my sister and friends loved multiple other kinds. The soup and sandwiches are great, too. The desserts are great and they serve Northern Soda, which is a fun treat, too! I 've gone here with multiple friends and relatives and everyone, even hard to please at restaurants think it 's great!
The people who work here make this place special. The owners are not only hard working, genuine and down to earth, but also extremely friendly, warm people. (Fortunately, they have trained their staff to be the same way). I go here for lunch often and the Cobb salad is my go-to. It’s really yummy but also a large portion for the price. I also love their chili and the Reuben sandwich. Their mini desserts are ridiculous, in the best way.
The staff is super friendly and helpful with suggestions if needed. Sandwiches are always amazing (especially the specials) and don't even get me started on the soups and desserts, almost impossible to resist. Then to top it off the atmosphere is great!!

This place deserves all the hype it gets. The staff are so kind and welcoming, and it really makes for a great experience there. The food is delicious and the atmosphere is lively, familiar, and cozy. Totally recommend.
Eat Banning is the perfect, hometown spot for lunch. I always get the Zany Mullaney (it's the best! And a cup of whatever delicious soup they have for the day. Give it a try!! Oh and don't forget to order dessert.
I ordered the BLT with chips and a side of coleslaw. It was very delicious. I had an excellent experience.
