I went to this restaurant a few days ago and left the ordering of the food to a friend who knew this restaurant well. I was not disappointed. There were 6 of us in our party, and we had pigeon ( superbly cooked and was nice and moist and not at all oily) followed by a lobster dish, some fried oysters, pippies in XO Sauce, some veges steamed with garlic, and a really refreshing bitter melon jelly ( that was a real treat). The meal was superb, and we drank a NZ Sauvignon Blanc called "HAHA" which proved the perfect acompaniament. A pleasant all round surprise! First dish, we had a mud crab cooked in HK style (deep fried with light batter and tossed with fresh and dried chillies ginger fermented black beans deep fried shallots); followed by fresh coral trout cooked two ways (one on a bed of fresh tofu and the other was stir fried with two different kinds of beans, garlic and ginger). Delicious, fresh and balanced seasoning. Friendly and efficient service. No frills ambience. Not cheap, but not expensive; considered well priced for the quality. It will now be our regular.
I visited this restaurant for dinner and was pleasantly surprised. The food was so fresh and tasty. There are tanks at the front of the restaurant which has live seafood - the pippis are sensational!! We had the honey chicken, whole fish, wasabi beef, hot and sour soup and fried pork ribs with salt and pepper. The proportions are very generous and the staff are very friendly, happy to take the time to answer any questions and make variations. Wonderful experience, will be coming here alot more often. We got takeaway from here on spur of the moment after the lines at the "New Shanghai" restaurant were just way too long. Couldn't fault any of the dishes we had - steamed dumplings, pepper beef, singapore noodles, Hainanese rice, chicken with lemon sauce. All were delicious, well priced, we'll definitely be back.This place is much more than a takeaway though - it was packed (always a good sign) and there's a seafood tank in the window for the extra fresh options.
We had dinner there on a Friday night. We chose the pippies, imperial style pork ribs and stirfied veges.The food came out good and fast,. The pippies were to die for. We had them on a bed of noodles, which absorbed the lovely sauce.The pippies themselves were absolutely delicious.The pork ribs were also excellent.We will definitely go back and try the crab and fish dishes.
We normally don't eat Chinese because of difficulty finding a good restaurant. When we walked past Eaton it was packed so we went in. Food was amazing and tasty. We had prawns with pine nuts and spinach. Stir fried chicken in special sauce an stir fried mixed vegetabes. Can't wait to go back. Everyone else's food looked great too and the service was friendly and prompt
It's great to see some good authentic Chinese restaurants open late. We love seafood and ordered a whole barramundi and pipis. They were amazing and great sauce with the pipis. The fish was perfectly cooked. It has now become one of our favorite late night spots! The workers are friendly and not a hassle. It has a very local vibe.

If you like to watch workers in the back kitchen cutting up ur chicken and throwing it into a bucket on the floor, and then cooking it for you to enjoy, then go ahead. Although it is good tasting, the manager needs to get the kitchen staff to be more mindful whilst handling food
