Ebbitt Room - Tisch resevieren

We went to the Ebbitt Room for Cape May Restaurant Week. We were seated by the hostess shortly after 5pm. And we waited, and waited. We tried waving to wait staff but they just walked past our table. Finally we spoke to the hostess who said sorry and then after a while a server came to us. She said sorry she thought we had been taken care of, although we had no food, water or anything for over 45mins. She took our first course order. When it came, I was given the wrong item. So we waited again. Finally the correct items appeared. We then gave our order for the main course. We finished the meal with very good desserts. Went there for a romantic dinner. Had a table on the outside. Nice patio but a bit noisy due to HVAC and fan running. My wife sat in a wet chair because they forgot to clean them after the rain. Nobody seemed bothered about that and we had to clean it ourselves. The food was ok but as the plates were not warmed up, it went cold quickly. The manager came at the end and asked for feedback which was appreciated. Definitely not the best experience ever.

We love Ebbitt Room and especially Kenneth Richardson on the piano he had the whole bar making requests and he did not disappoint! What a great evening of dining, service and live music. The atmosphere can’t be beat!
