Ecco is reminiscent of a warm and welcoming family trattoria with it's rustic paved walls, dim lit ambience and antique style bar. Wine bottles stacked under the staircase coupled with the flickering flame from the white brick wood fire oven peeping through the back kitchen window serve to excite the senses in anticipation of an authentic Italian menu. The restaurant showcases a comfortable variety of delicious and fresh pasta and large crunchy pizze amidst the classic entree and dessert selections, all of generous servings. our evening and our experience in ecco was very beautiful. both the calamari and grilled octopus apps were excellent – perfectly cooked and very tasty. also the Tagliolini main and the four-cheese pizza were perfect and the tiramisu was a good opportunity to cover the meal. the wine list was beautiful. the service was great – attentive, appealing, but not intrusive. and the ambiente was very welcoming and friendly – it was clear that everyone there had a great time. we're going back.
A wonderful and true Italian restaurant. A booking for 16 people, we were all individually and as a group well looked after. Everyone’s food arrived at the same time for all meals (still hot!! , and our glasses were never empty. Food was perfect and the service and staff were amazing. I dare say the pizza could be better than my Nonna’s, or even the best in Melbourne!!
I can’t believe that I have never had the Ecco experience! With a real love of Italian food, a background in touring food authors and a quest for authentic regional cuisine , I really had denied myself a five-star dining experience. our experience at ecco was excellent as usual. the insalata mista and grilled octopus starters were excellent, like the calamari and tagliolini with crab net. the service was attentive, but not intrusive, and the ambiente was sociable and welcoming. ecco is in our regular melbourne restaurant rota.
daniel and his team were excellent hosts for our table of eight. tasty eating, impeccable service and amazing cocktails. we highly recommend ecco for local and tourist, they will not be disappointed!

The restaurant was beautiful. My partner and I ate outside in the veranda. My risotto was so yum! And the out waitress was wonderful. I highly recommend this place.
