Tourist and Native New Yorkers alike don't skip a trip to Economy Candy! It has little (okay a lot) of everything: your current favorites, old school classics you forgot about, wacky creations like bacon lollipops and kale candy, all wrapped up in a mom and pop third generation operation. It's the best place to get small gifts to bring home from your trip.
I placed an order, but it was missing 4 items. Although they credited my credit card, they refused to send the missing items from the same order. Clearly, it was an error on their part, yet instead of absorbing the shipping cost like any good business would, they chose to jeopardize the chance of having me as a repeat customer over a small amount of money.
I was so excited to see some old favorites as well as new to me candies! The space is small so expect a lot of people squeezed into the store. I was so happy to find other flavors, not available in my hometown! Tons of international candies too! Everything was fairly priced too! Very nostalgic! I definitely look forward to coming back again..
This is a delightful candy store with an impressive selection, but I was surprised by its size based on the other reviews. While they offer a wide variety of candies, I wasn’t able to find every single type. For example, I went in specifically looking for chewy Sprees, but they didn’t have them in stock. Economy Candy has been around since 1937, and it's still going strong. The store is packed with candy from floor to ceiling, and you can find just about anything you're looking for. The prices are reasonable, and the staff is friendly. I highly recommend visiting Economy Candy.
Olds school New gen old young Candy for everone..family loves it.. not only Candy but vintage stuff from Candy machines to posters lunch boxes collectable trading cards ..be ready to spend because you're going to want almost everything...don't believe go check for yourself
Surround sound sweets, I didn’t know where to look like and my head was in a spin. Lots of American candy’s everywhere that I hadn’t seen before, spent a small fortune loading up my basket for the little ones back home. Sugar induced kids were running riot, fun times.

Ok, this place is a paradise for kids and adults who were kids in the ‘80s ‘90s! They have every candy you remember from childhood and they sell in bulk as well. One of the last affordable places in town! A true treasure on the LES!
