Our experience was horrible, other than the busboy and hostess. We were there to enjoy our Sunday and to get in on the Oktoberfest action. We planned on getting beers, appetizers, entrees, and dessert. My partner and I love going to German restaurants around the city. We dined at 1:00. When we got there, there were about 4 people at the bar and three tables in the dining area. An older woman approached us and asked for our drinks, we weren't ready so she left. She came back and took out drink order. It took us about 20 minutes after that to get our beers. Again, it wasn't busy and by that point two tables had walked in. So bad I had to write my first review. We came here on a Saturday around 7:30. Few people and staff were nice. The only food I could recommend was the schnitzel and german potatoes. The goulash and mashed potatoes were mediocre at best. The cod was frozen and completely devoid of flavor. The sauerbraten had a weird, almost metallic taste that was not pleasant at all. The cucumber salad was at least a day old and far too salty and acidic. The chicken and rice soup was also extremely salty and had little chicken in it. Food was great! The busers worked super hard but the wait staff was super slow. We sat there almost 15 minutes before someone took our drink order. Once our food came, I needed another drink but I finished my meal, the table was cleaned off by the busers I never got my drink. Was told the bar was backed up. I gave up on my drink ended up skipping dessert. I even saw a table leave because no one ever took their drink order. We spent about 1 hour 45 minutes there was extremely disappointed with our night. I think they should have had more wait staff working.
This restaurant is authentically German with delicious cuisine and a fun environment. We ordered the pretzel, which was huge, perfectly cooked, salted generously and accompanied by a really good honey mustard sauce and a beer cheese. My family demolishedthe pretzel and then ordered their meals. Everything came out quickly, cooked well, and piping hot. The staff was friendly andinformative, and the beer was great! Generous portion sizes for both food and drinks. Definitely recommend as a regular treat.
What a great experience! From the moment I walked in it was flawless. Val was AWESOME and friendly and attentive. Always making sure I was ok and didn't lack anything! A superb time from the food to the scenery to the people. All top notch! My platter wasso yummy and had plenty of leftovers! Drinks and beer were also perfect! Thanks for a wonderful time Val!!!
We came here on 8/19 and it was the best meal I've had in a long time. Our waiter was the best that I've had in years. The accordion/ singer was AMAZING. My 2 year old got to hit a couple of keys on it and we all had a blast. We keep talking about what a great time that we had. And the food was amazing!
They're a weird kind of friendly but I suppose friendly non the less. Really good food ? a nice german barvarian fusion. Parking: Get lucky
