From this website and a simple google search we thought we would "try" Eden's Gate. We were over joyed! The only thing we were trying to do is not devour all food that came in sight. EVERYTHING from the homemade buns; homemade butter mixtures; my chicken parm dinner; my friends seafood stuffed fish; both having the potato croquettes as our sides. The atmosphere was pleasant, relaxing, and "home-y." The 4 or so staff took care of every guest as though they were family. When you walk in you probably won't be impressed with the décor but before you leave you will definitely be impressed with the food, all made from scratch and the service from the very friendly and caring staff.My wife is celiac so we both eat this way and they prepared an awesome gluten free meal and dessert for both of us. The food takes a little long but it is worth the wait as it is made form scratch and is awesome.If you are in the are and you don't eat here then you have definitely missed out. This was are second visit in two years and we will be back again next year. Thank you so much!
We dropped in for a bite to eat before heading out to a local ceilidh for the evening, I appreciate other comments about the challenge of finding when they're open - we had a similar challenge, but it was definitely worth the effort. We were warmly welcomed upon arrival, and within the first 15 minutes I'm pretty sure we met all the staff, including the owner. They couldn't have been nicer. The meal was outstanding - creative flavour combinations, homemade goodness, lovely presentation ... and everything was delicious. This will become one of our new 'go to' restaurants on the island.
Due to their catering business, days & hours not regular. They do take reservations and you should have them because if something is going on at King's Playhouse in Georgetown, they could be full.Very basic decor. Food very good. Portions large so don't think you're going to get through appetizer (many of which could be the entree), main and dessert. I've never made it to dessert. We had a lovely experience at Eden's Gate ! We were surprised to find such wonderful food and service in such a unassuming location. The food was fresh and fabulous ! We each had something different- chicken parmesan; chicken pot pie; and pad thai... every dish was delish!!!! It was very homey and service was friendly.The Caesars were spectacular and tasty! Highly recommend this hidden gem!Suggest reservations as the place was really busy !
We showed up here late tonight from a recommendation from a local. We were staying at the Rodd Resort which is only 5 minutes away. We were the only ones there but what a great meal! We were four and everybody loved their meal! The chicken pot pie had a nice twist! The fish and chips were above any expectations, and the stuff sole was outstanding!! They were great to accommodate our special requests as well. Would definitely recommend!!
The website states hours of operation but when we arrived for supper within the posted hours listed on the door, they were closed. We tried again the next night again within the hours as posted, it was closed again. Apparently according to local residents this was not unusual at all. Wee were told to just keep trying. We did not and were not sorry.
When it's open easily one of our favourite family restaurant experiencesin Georgetown. From appetizers to main dishes I've never had a meal feeling less than very satisfied. excellent servers, meal was delicious and not too expensive however does not have wheel chair access we had called ahead and told there would be access but there was not. wheel chair had to be lifted up stair and was very stressful for person. however once inside all was very good
