During my first trip to Vermont, I was captivated by the stunning scenery. Unfortunately, the accommodations left much to be desired. I understand that being in a wooded area means encountering some spiders, but the situation felt more like an infestation than a few visitors. The buildings were in severe disrepair, and we found the grounds unappealing. On a positive note, the owners did allow us to switch to a slightly better room, which suggests that the issues may stem from a lack of funds to properly maintain the facility.
The scenery and water views are lovely, and the location is fantastic! Vermont is a wonderful state to explore. The owners have a unique opportunity to turn this place into a true gem and one of the best lodging options Vermont has to offer. The question is, are they prepared to invest in updating the Edgewater Inn, Restaurant, and Motel from its 1960s state to something more contemporary? While it wasn't the worst lodging experience my wife and I have had, it certainly ranks in our top three.
We had been staying at this restaurant for years until an incident occurred where another guest made anti-Semitic comments to my brothers and initiated a confrontation with my father. The owners of the establishment did nothing to address the situation and allowed that individual to remain.
I've been going there for years. The staff is incredibly friendly and they treat you like family. We've even met other families who have been visiting for 40 years! The lake is beautiful and the food at the Trac Inn is delicious. I can't wait to return this summer!

This is a fantastic spot right by the lake, perfect for ice fishing! The rooms are reasonably priced, and the staff is very friendly. The restaurant and bar offer delicious food at great prices, with attentive and friendly service. Highly recommended!
The area is beautiful, the rooms are lovely, and the location is fantastic! I absolutely loved my stay; it was very peaceful.
If you need a cheap place to stay this is it. Nice location. Rooms haven't been renovated since the 80's
