We visited here a few weeks ago and ordered steak which was like chewing cardboard but given the venue is clean and the staff were lovely we thought it must be a one off so decided to visit again today for Sunday Lunch and sadly wish we had not bothered as the food was abysmal. All the meals were clap cold and the roast potatoes were beyond anaemic and sloppy and had never seen a roasting tin in their life. The carrots were black and the Yorkshire puddings were rock hard and over cooked. The vegetarian meal was freezing cold in the middle and was sent back but the replacement was not any better. We usually like to Dine at this Restaurant, but on this Occasion the Experience weren't as it should have been... The Service was Good, and the Young Man who served us was very chatty and obliging, nothing wrong there, but we both Ordered the Lemon Milanese and it tasted a little of chemical.. Now whether the Worktop and been cleaned and then the Chicken laid on the Work surface, I don't know, but my other half refused to eat it all.. In hindsight, I should have complained, but we have always liked coming here that we didn't want to get anyone into bother.. I suppose at the end of the day, Your paying for it, so you want it edible, but sadly it didn't taste too good, and that is why we gave...
Came for Sunday lunch, did not book but was happily welcomed even though the restaurant was very busy. We was taken to the table by the manager was explained there was a wait on food. Which was good to know. The waitress was very polite and working very hard. Only down fall was the Yorkshire pudding was over cooked. Atmosphere amazing there was an event on at the front of the restaurant who looked to be having a great time. It good to know you accommodated such large booking. Will be returning
Trio of roast, came out clap cold, cauliflower cheese was bland meat (beef chewy. Steak was one of the most expensive things on the menu and was TINY, really not worth it. Cost nearly £7 for a pint (are we in London!? such a shame because the pub itself is stunning the staff were lovely. For the price we paid and it can’t even come out warm we wouldn’t go back. nice eating, 5 adults and 2 children we went to lunch on Sunday. we went at 4 o'clock and it was still quite busy, but very relaxed. the personal is really good, friendly and professional. we had the chicken supreme that was perfectly cooked, and children had pizzas that they loved. finished with mini dessert and coffee, perfect. highly recommended
