our hotel was down the street so we passed this daily and finally decided to give it a try for breakfast. it was ok. we were pretty much the only customers at the time of day we were there and yet felt like we were imposing. food was average and "typical Parisian cost" ... i'd recommend what might be it's "sister" restaurant across the street on the corner (name escapes me) but THEY have excellent service. pricing similar, but they treat you far better
This is a terrible cafe, coffee is disgusting for one, and the server was so very rude!! He placed order for two coffees before my friend was able to go through the menu, and refused to change it when she said she wanted a tea. He literally stared us down mafia style a way a bully would do, and we didn't insist. Incredible that they can treat their customers this way. Very disappointed!
Went for a meal after visiting eiffel tower. Ordered a coke to go along with the meal. Saw the price of coke to be £4.50 per bottle in the menu. The waiter asked if i wanted medium or big.Tot it would be something like MacDonald n a big should be slightly more expensive than €4.50.Ordered a big n a big mug was served.When the bill came, it was €16!Obviously a way to rip off tourists.
My wife and I got off the train at about 6am and asked a restaurant if they were opened, it just so happened that the young lady from eiffel cafe was there and invited us to come across the street where she opened the cafe early and started to make us drinks and feel welcomed to the city despite our French language deficiency. My husband and I were going to Eiffel tower and were finding a place to have nice breakfast. The staff was very welcoming, recommended us to order the crepes. Overall was a nice experience, we did not stay for long as we were rushing to the Eiffel tower. It is a good place if you are on your way to Eiffel tower. Not to near to the tower yet is on the way.
We felt very welcomed by the staff and we're happy to make it a routine dessert stop walking from the subway to our hotel in the evenings. Crème brulé was amazing, the coffee was delightful and we thoroughly enjoyed the croques on our last visit.
10.50 euro for a cuppucino and a croissant? Coffee was ok, croissant was good, service was fine. I could understand the price if you could actually see some monument, but the view is the underside of a subway overpass.

We just stopped by to order a crepe take away and it was very good. The service was also great. I would like to go back to have a proper meal.
