Had dinner here 30th June 2023 by way of celebration for our son graduating from Queens University, his choice! We have been before as often as we can being from distant Tyrone and quite simply are never disappointed! My husband and I were in the restaurant at 5pm for dinner in August. I had half lobster and my husband had sea bass. The staff were very pleasant. The two meals were poor. The lobster had very little fish inside and the side salad in the bowl was small and dripping in oil and not well presented. My husbands salad was the same and his fish did not taste nice. We both had a beer before our meal which was flat and not nice. My husband did not drink his. I had a glass of wine with my meal which was fine. Not long after my meal my stomach was rumbling. Nice location, arrived and asked to seat at window table. Not my favorite when people passing by observe my plate…. Daily specials not all available, because too many people today…. While sightseeing in the city, I stumbled upon this restaurant and decided to book lunch for the next day. I was not disappointed! The seafood was fantastic, well-prepared, and served by a friendly staff. The wines were a great complement to the dishes. The atmosphere was light and airy, resembling a chic French bistro.
The food at this restaurant is absolutely delicious and prepared expertly. The service was attentive and overall very good. While the prices may be a bit high, the quality of the food makes it worth it. I would definitely recommend paying a visit to this establishment.
Superb. We were heading to Belfast for a week with work and a friend recommended Love Fish so we booked a few weeks ahead. The service was excellent, the food was the best I've tasted in a while. The monkfish is to die for! Highly recommend.
I had a fantastic experience returning to Deanes Fish. The squid and crab starters were exceptional, just like the cod and fish and chips. This is surely the top spot for seafood in Belfast.
