If you’re in Hampden, you have to check out Ekiben. Their Taiwanese curry fried chicken (Neighborhood Bird Bowl) is unreal—crispy, spicy, and served with sambal mayo and fresh herbs over jasmine rice with pickled veggies. And don’t sleep on the red beans and rice; the spicy Ethiopian lentils and tomato salad combo is so good. Ordering online is a breeze, and pickup is super easy. For a unique and tasty meal, Ekiben is the spot. Trust me, it’s worth it!
I have been eating Ekiben for years, even back before I was vegan. I've been a vegan for almost 4 years now, and I can still enjoy their food! Whether it is the tempura broccoli, red lentils and rice, tofu , or what the birds eat. Nothing I mentioned is lacking flavor! They accommodate us vegans so well! I highly recommend and to eat their and recommend people as well! If you want to impress someone with lunch, you come here!
This is by far one of my favorite food spots in Baltimore. This is an interesting and delicious Asian fusion. You can't go wrong with either the bun or the bowl and either the chicken or the adobo pork. Besides the delicious food, staff is very nice. This place is a must in Baltimore! I love that it 's in an alley out back of The Avenue. Very fun and and really laid back vibe with fun staff photos, letters and art to snoop while you wait for food. Most importantly, HOT DANG THATS A GOOD FRIED CHICKEN (thighs, not breast) SAMMIE! So flavorful and crispy. The boa-like bun was a rad change too.
Worth the hype! Really unique spices and flavors. Got the spicy bird bao which was surprisingly huge. Very flavorful and perfect crispy. The pho spiced beef was delicious as well. Food overall on the heavier side so go hungry.
I had the best experience in this cute place. I was planning to find a Persian restaurant, but I changed my mind due to the recommendations from others, and I'm so happy with my final decision. The beeeeeef bowl is the best!

Tofu nuggets are a must! Ba careful with the chili noodles, they are too delicious and addictive! Ate them for a week straight and can’t get enough
