Went for taco Tuesday and ended up not ordering the special, but a la cart. I had a shredded beef hard taco and a carnitas taco. Hubby had three tacos. All were really good and flavorful (ask for the homemade salsa. It's hot but good). We also had the fresh guacamole that was prepared at our table. Two spicy margaritas were on point. Not too spicy but had a kick. Our server was friendly and attentive and we really loved the vibe of the place. Nicely decorated with Mexican murals and artifacts
I've lived here since 2012, and this was my first visit to El Cerrito on Archibald. I can honestly say it's the best steak and eggs I've ever had, complemented by homemade tortillas. The chips and salsa were spot on, and I enjoyed them with iced tea.
Food was good but only reason why service was 2 Stars is that my sister inlaw ordered a Shredded beef burrito and twice they brought it out with no beef. Also my son's order came out 15 min. After everyone elses.

The food is always excellent, but I often find myself needing to order and leave quickly.
Cocktail wasn't all that, Berrian was dry on the to go plate, but the menudo was great
