My family frequently enjoys meals at El Charro's Springfield location, and we all absolutely love it. As vegetarians, we can't comment on the meat dishes, but their extensive vegetarian menu section is fantastic. Although I haven’t checked the menu in a while due to my usual ordering preferences, I've found that El Charro offers one of the best vegetarian selections among Mexican restaurants in the area. The food is consistently excellent! Additionally, we had a family member who temporarily had a dairy allergy (strange, I know), and the staff was accommodating, expertly preparing their favorite dish without any dairy. I highly recommend this restaurant!
I'm not sure what Connie's perspective is, but I can confidently say that I've been dining at El Charro for over five years, and it's one of the best Mexican restaurants in the area. The food is excellent, and the customer service is outstanding. It seems like Connie might not be familiar with authentic Mexican cuisine, otherwise she would recognize that this is a fantastic place to eat.
The food is excellent in a classic sense, but they really need to address the fly situation. It’s not pleasant to be swatting at flies while enjoying a margarita and waiting for your meal. If they can resolve this issue, we would definitely return. The location by Gateway Mall is quite convenient.
I'm not sure why the previous person wrote such a negitive comment. The food and service was perfectly fine. The food was authentic as can be north of the border. I strongly disagree with Connie, I eat at El Charro twice a week and never had any problems.

This was the worst Mexican food we've ever had! We know what authentic Mexican cuisine should taste like, as we are Mexican ourselves. Save your money, as you definitely won't get your money's worth here.
Great place for lunch if you are in the Gateway Mall area. The menu is traditional. It would be nice if there were more options for vegetarians. The margaritas are great and very good chips and salsa.
Everything here has been very good. They are very fast too. They serve authentic Mexican food some of the best in the area. The only issue I have had is some flies around a few times.
Absolutely delicious. Fajitas is how I judge a mexican restaurant so, I had the fajitas and hands down best I've had in Eugene Springfield area. Definitely recommended !!!

The food was quite good, but the waiter who served my kids and me was exceptional. He really went above and beyond for the kids. I have no complaints at all!
