The food here is usually decent, though not quite as good as some Mexican spots I've tried out west, but still reasonable for the area. My main concern came on a recent visit with my group when the guacamole arrived looking oddly fluorescent green. At first, I thought it might have been the lighting, but after the first bite, I quickly realized it was made from a prepackaged powdered mix. I make guacamole at home often and have pretty high standards, so this was disappointing. If I could give this restaurant a negative rating, I absolutely would. We used to come here at least once a week and always sat at the bar. However, when a cockroach crawled out from under the bar, we left immediately. I reported it to the health department, but no action was taken!
The staff was friendly and attentive, providing prompt service. We tried the Chef's Special, which included chicken, rice, beans, and chicken fajitas. Both dishes were flavorful and came served on sizzling hot plates.
I sat at the bar, enjoyed watching football, and made a new friend. The service was outstanding, the prices were fair, and the food was incredible!
