We visited early in our 7 week holiday for a beer and was advised that food was not available until the following Wednesday. We did return to have a cooked English breakfast. Got to say as it was cook fresh for us it’s possibly one of the nicest English breakfasts we’ve consumed. We returned a week later for same again and wish we hadn’t! Talk about the tale of two breakfasts. The second was such a let down compared to the first we had tasted. Bacon dry and reheated, mushrooms were dry and warmed up (they were awful), the only positive thing was the fresh fried egg. After this we avoided the place and did not give them the benefit of the doubt. Best thing is to wait for the proprietor to go...
Visited El Forn Vell for breakfast on a sunny Wednesday morning in October. Tracy and Darren are the perfect hosts. Very friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was so good we booked an evening meal there for the same night. We weren’t disappointed. The beef in blackbean sauce was excellent. Good quality fillet steak and freshly cooked to order with chips and rice. Great prices as well. We even bought tickets for the Christmas raffle. Don’t pass this place without calling in. You won’t be sorry.
Tracey and Darren are the most professional, hard working and welcoming hosts. The bar is spotlessly clean, well stocked, reasonably priced and eager to ensure customer satisfaction. The menu is varied and guaranteed to offer something that will appeal to every palate. Word to the wise pre order Tracey’s fillet steak and enjoy sublime perfection. Always striving to ensure their customers leave with a smile on their faces and always welcoming their customers, new and old, with a smile.
dave and I have just come from a week holiday in orba to home, we had a brilliant time, many of which were spent in the el forn vell. tracey and daz are brilliant host nothing is too much annoying for them, you eat is delicious, we had a steak night on Friday and I can honestly say it was the best steak that I have ever eaten kindly and visit very great. next year we will be back for a holiday and look forward to spending time there again. Having recently visited family for the first time in over 2 years, I reacquainted myself with Tracey Darren at El Forn Vell. A warm welcome, great service, tasty food and a shady terrace, this bar is strongly recommended for anyone visiting this charming valley in inland Spain. Places like this are rew and far between in this area and the service is second to none. Thank you Tracey Darren for your hospitality and warm welcome.
One of the best steaks a have had in a very long time the onion rings where crispy and delicious as was the chips. Great service and can't wait to go back for another one

Popped in for breakfast. Lovely owner who was great with our fussy eater children. Fab local knowledge which is also very handy while on holiday!
