Called for three tacos for the takeover. I was told about the phone. After I arrived 20 minutes later, go in and the older blonde lady in the register then puts my order after I paid. Don't give me an estimate of how much longer. I waited patiently.. While I wait, they decide to help an employee on their way to make them a hand-picked sandwich that took forever. As soon as she leaves, they continued to keep my order over 40 minutes past this point. Finally, my food is ready and unfortunately completely wrong and not what I ordered. I noticed that the employees did not pay attention to laughing, I knew my order would be wrong. I was right and got a refund. Save your time and an unpleasant exp...
This is a great place for Mexican food. They are quick, affordable, and everything I've tried from here has been delicious. My go to is the carnitas family pack, and a bag of bolillos. The family pack, costs $40, comes with 2 lbs of perfectly seasoned and cooked carnitas. The meat is tender and juicy, with just the right amount of fat. You also get a large side of rice, refried beans, salsa, tortillas, onions with celantro, and lemon/lime wedges. The bolillos are 3 for a buck, super delicious, soft on the inside and cruncy on the outside. They make them fresh a few times per day. Its enough food to feed a family of 4 and have leftovers. You cant really do better for $45.
I have 1 issue that I've encountered a few times already with food allergies in specific avocado on the food. When I've brought this up at the time to place my order, it's always missed when my food is being prepared. I have to be hypervigalant, which bothers the servers. FOOD ALLERGIES ARE A SERIOUS MATTER and should not be taken lightly. I hope this matter is brought up and that staff are educated on this matter. Lately, I've gotten stank faces for this it makes me not want to continue to to be a client.
I visited El Gallo Giro for the first time and ordered a small asada taco and a carnitas torta. Unfortunately, I forgot to ask for salsa, so the food was a bit dry. The meats were decent, but not exceptional. I preferred the carnitas over the asada. Overall, without salsa, the meal was somewhat lackluster. My friend ate here as being recommended by another friend. So he took me here to try it too and I always pass by this place before. I'm glad my friend took me here because I just love their food . I ordered Street tacos and they're great. The drinks they have that they make is also great, it's something I didn't had before. Try this place everyone, you won't be sorry.
Unfortunately, they have removed the $6.99 burritos from the menu, so I no longer dine there unless I am specifically craving their torta cubanas, which is the only thing worth it. Despite that, the restaurant is welcoming and the food is decent, but the prices are just okay.
I had a job to pick up and it said it was ready in 20 minutes. When I arrived at a female employee with blond hair, she said that she hadn't checked the orders and that I had to wait another 20 minutes. I really like this place, but this employee didn't want to come back.
