My family were looking for somewhere to have genuine tapas and after reading some of the reviews of this restaurant we decided to give it a go. We arrived at 8pm just as they opened and early for the locals who don't really seem to start having dinner until around 10pm. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and gave us a great table in the front corner of the terrace. The waiter spoke English and they had an English menu, which is not that common in this part of Spain and made a welcome relief from us struggling to get by with our broken Spanish and Google Translate. Then I show them various photos of multiple visits that we have made, it is a classic village local, very familiar, the quality of so products is quite high, and its way of presenting it is very peculiar and original, if they allow me a recommendation: the role of shrimp with ham, nor to say has of the Iberian dam that also serve it spectacularly, I am not to drink beer but my meeting said that they served it quite cold. another of my recommendations is the octopus, it has no description, we have to prove it. So if you go through the break and read my review, remember that you're making a very good decision to go to this place, don't disappoint.
We took advice from previous reviewers and arrived shortly after 9pm before the rush and were warmly greeted and given menus in English. The waiter went through the menu and made recommendations which was very helpful. The food was amazing everything we had was delicious but our favourite was the pork skillet cooked in orange wine. The staff are attentive and helpful and the food very reasonably priced. We went back again during our 10 day stay in El Rompido as we enjoyed it so much. There is also a shop inside the restaurant selling local produce if you visit go and have a look. This is a must visit restaurant in El Rompido.
We just had a fantastic meal at this cosy restaurant. We came in half an hour before the locals arrived (they start to poor in at 9:30pm) and were warmly welcomed. We got a lot of great suggestions for the tapas, which you can order in 3 different sizes. We were greedy and took 12. To my surprise they were ALL excellent, with the use of good quality ingredients at a very reasonable price. The bill arrived just under 40euros for two. We will visit again!

No puedo decir nada en contra todo delicioso. El atún... espectacular, las gambas, buenísimas, las alcachofas de primera. Y de refresco un auténtico tomate de huerto . La cerveza, la manzanilla frescas... vendremos más veces seguro
Carta pequeña pero todo muy bueno y de calidad y buen servicio, lo más flojito lo que menos me gustó el pulpo a la plancha , salió un poco quemado , aún así lo recomiendo .
If you like open sandwiches fine but do not go here if you want a proper meal. The service is good friendly but there are many better restaurants in el rompido.
they are the same ham and shrimp of the break. the shrimps are good and the ham, improved. collect € per litre of bulk wine seems to me a past.

I recommend the ham and shrimp, and to carry the vermut. We will try again the wine of the county and cannot miss the octopus or the dam.
Nice small bar in main street. Original small tapas of local products. Unfortunately no views to the sea.
