I would give this restaurant 5 stars if the service was better. The food is excellent, especially the tacos. I had the pastor tacos and my friend had the shrimp tacos, both were delicious. The menu offers a variety of options, making it difficult to choose if you love Mexican food. Unfortunately, the service was lacking as they forgot to bring us chips and salsa until we asked for it, and there was only one person working at the cashier which led to longer than usual wait times. Normally the service andbfood are pleasingly 10 stars. I'm not sure what was going on today with the lady working there. This was a horrible experience. I paid for Bean dip but they gave me cheese dip. I took it back, and the lady refused to refund my money for their mistake. She told me to wait 1 minute, so I did shebcMe back with a soupy liquid in a container. With no time left to wait as I had already used Mt lunch break waiting 58 minutes for my order, and my lunch break was over, so I left. This restaurant is a hidden gem. It has a small storefront with a few tables out front. The Beef Tacos Barilla were incredible and had a generous portion size. The braised beef cubes were moist and flavorful, served in a taco with a dipping sauce made from the braising liquid. They typically come with cilantro and raw onions, which added to the deliciousness. It was messy to eat, but well worth it. The service was excellent, and the overall dining experience was great for dinner. The price per person is between $10-20. I decided to try a new taco place instead of my usual spot nearby and opted for delivery due to work calls. I ordered shrimp and steak tacos, along with spinach dip and chips. Unfortunately, everything was overly salty and lacked proper seasoning. The spinach dip was too watery and lacked any substance. It looked more like spinach-infused milk. I was unable to eat, or rather drink it. If I were to give this restaurant another chance, I would avoid the dips and tacos. However, I do not plan on dining here again in the future. If you do only one thing, make sure to order the chips and queso. I had a full meal that I saved for lunch because I got so full from the queso. I also made the mistake of sharing the queso. Don't share your queso. The staff is always friendly and I enjoy having such a wonderful little spot in town. I hope El Patron keeps thriving.
