The churros are a huge disappointment, much like at all the EPL locations in the area. A few years ago, they started sprinkling sugar and cinnamon on top instead of fully coating the churros in the mixture. This change has made them lack flavor; it feels like eating a plain churro. I've sent feedback to the company but never received a response. As a result, I no longer buy their churros. It seems that EPL has chosen to cut costs instead of maintaining the quality of their products, which used to be so much better. I would be willing to pay a little more if they could just make the churros the way they used to be. You know how good they can be!
I had the worst service at Pollo Loco. The cashier, Vanesa, refused to explain the app's discount to me. Her response was simply, "I'm eating, let me eat." I could see that her coworkers were uncomfortable with her attitude. The app also has many flaws, and I prefer to order in person and use coupons, as I’m old-fashioned. If this new generation is unable to assist customers who aren’t familiar with new technology, that’s concerning. In conclusion, Vanesa ignored me, and her remarks were quite offensive.
The experience here is really inconsistent. I ordered the nachos with the toppings on the side, specifically asking for no salsa. Instead, I got salsa on the nachos and no sour cream or guacamole. Paying $8 or $9 for some chips, a small amount of chicken, beans, and salsa just doesn't sit right with me. Also, they really need to bring back the tortilla chicken rolls!
Location is a joke for service, asked for 1 item without a sauce...it came with the sauce we didn't want, asked for a tostada salad without the tostada, it came in it. The. We noticed none of these request were marked on the receipt. Sat and ate while wewatched multiple other customers have to correct orders or get refunds. Check your order if you come here. The worst service EVER! Nothing was right! I simply asked for no Fresca in my order. No ice in my drink and creamy cilantro. NOTHING was correct and they charged me for the creamy cilantro I didn?t get! Your drive Thru sucks La Habra EPL!
Had the Tostada bowl with chicken. Basically, a salad in a tortilla dish. It was better what I expected. I'd order it again. Chicken was grilled and had a good taste. It was full, but I didn't feel hard after I finished. Not fat.
The presentation of my order was quite unusual. The chicken was shredded in a way I've never seen before, and my avocado had turned dark. Overall, the bowl looked as if it had been sitting out for hours before being served.
