El Portón - Tisch reservieren

We hadn't visited el Porton in all the years we've been to Lanzarote but so wish we had. From the moment we walked in through the whole meal the service was second to none. I chose typical Canarian food and drink throughout which I found to be perfectly presented and full of taste. I would highly recommend taking time out to visit this lovely, well run restaurant.

We had a restaurant lunch (tapas available in the bar area) of Huelva prawns, bacalao (cod) a la portuguesa (saffron butter) and solomillo steak all to share, washed down with glasses of rosé and red wine and finished with a lemon mousse and coffee. Each of the dishes was perfectly cooked, promptly served and very, very delicious. A real treat.

Good service and staff. This restaurant is one of the best ones in Zamora to try the best Alistan beef. The price of it is 30€ per kg. Homemade french fries and green peppers for side. I recommend to ask for a sheep cheese cake... more than a sin! Perfect restaurant in this pretty city.

A small place, and a little fussy about letting you sit down to a table before the kitchen opens at 2 pm for lunch. (Bar area was crowded with no place to sit before then. But nice tapas and cava, and wait staff was friendly and prompt once the lunch orders could be taken.

The menu is short but has options for everyone. I don't eat meat and had a delicious dinner last night. Prices are higher than in other places of the area, but quality is good.
