We were looking vegetarian options in the Cape when we stumbled upon this gem of a place. Although small and not very fancy looking, this place serves some of the most authentic budget-friendly Mexican food. Vegetarian friendly options include Tofu as the protein substitute and pretty much all of the other dishes (such as tacos, quesadillas, etc) can be customized to not contain meat. We had the Tacos, Horchata and the Rice Bowl. Everything was fresh and loaded. The staff were extremely humble and patient. If you're craving Mexican food and are in the Cape, this place is a must try. We hope to be back soon!
We absolutely love the food from El Pueblo! We've been dining there for a year now, and I have nothing but great things to say about it. The food is incredibly delicious. Their tacos and tortas are so authentic, and they’re my personal favorites. I often place an order for tacos for my daughter and son, as shown in the picture. I usually get the rice bowl with al pastor, while my husband opts for the one with asada. I hope this helps, and I know you will enjoy the food!
I had the pleasure of dining at El Pueblo for the first time last night. I chose the wet burrito and the taco sampler, and both dishes were crafted with the skill and precision of a talented cook—though perhaps not as renowned as Jacques Pepin. The wet burrito and taco sampler were cooked and seasoned to perfection. For anyone living in or traveling through Cape May County, New Jersey, I highly recommend a visit to El Pueblo. You won't be disappointed.
This was my first visit, and I absolutely loved it! The Mexican food was fantastic and incredibly tasty. I ordered the chicken fajita bowl, which came in a generous portion and was very fresh. The prices were reasonable, the service was excellent, and there were plenty of free parking spots available. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and will return whenever I'm in the area. El Pueblo had the systems down today. Even with a line out the door I will never go anywhere else. The nachos are fantastic and the staff are always amazing. Sad that the beach location has been closed the few times I tried, but still worth it.
Delicious! We had the red mole enchiladas and chicken milanesa torta. I wish we had this place in NYC. Super friendly staff too.
