I had a very bad experience at this this place last Sunday I went to the Spanish market then I saw this restaurant on the corner, i was there around 5pm , I was ordering my food then security guy came over and asked me how did you get here? I said I came to the sidewalk. The gate was open by the barbershop . then he said you’re not supposed to come that way and I don’t know what you bring here and that’s not the entrance. I said I’m sorry I don’t know that . I’m first time here. he didn’t want to listen to me and he was start cursing me in Spanish and he walk me out. I never go back to this place . I never got the chance to try the food. I walked in and sat down by myself, but there were no menus available. After waiting for about 20 minutes without anyone acknowledging me, not even with a greeting, I decided to leave. The atmosphere wasn't very inviting for dining (perhaps for drinks, but not for a meal). The service was absolutely terrible! I ended up going to Antojitos Puertorriquenos in Brandon instead, and I was very pleased with both the food and service there. I highly recommend it! Don’t waste your time at El Rico Frappe Latino. A taste of Puerto Rico. Alcalpurrias are my favorite. Music is perfect. Sometimes they have live bands. Your menu is great.
I used to order all the time, but I've been disappointed lately. My Alcapurria came with the paper that still fried.
