This little local cafe was a wonderful surprise. We went in for an inexpensive lunch and had a great meal. The meal includes soup, main course and juice for 8,000 cop($2.75). The soup was tasty, with vegetable pieces. Main course, chicken, trout or sausage came with rice, salad, fried cheese doughnut, arepa, and a choice of potato, beans, lentils or vegetable. The trout was delicious. It would be hard to ask for more for the price.
The owner will ask you if you want trout, chicken, or chorizo, then one of a few different sides. All are good and they come with rice, arrepa, salad, AND soup. Plus lemonade. Very filling and only 8000 pesos for everything.We went a few times, once with some vegetarians who were also well taken care of with lots of vegetables, lentils, potato, etc.
Absolutely love this place! Fantastic value and the food is great! Soup, choice of main meat (chorizo, chicken and pork) and lemonade for just 8,000. We've had lunch and dinner here! If you go for dinner head there early as it gets rammed!Absolutely go, you won't regret it.

Three selections of meat (trout, chicken, chorizo ) with rice and various sides as well as soup and a drink for 8500. Its traditional Colombian food which is very heavy and fried but we enjoyed it for the low price.
This place was so damn good we ate lunch there and then went back for dinner and ate the same thing again. You get a soup, a huge plate of food, and a juice, all for 8,000 pesos. And every bite was delicious!!
At noon there were two dishes to choose from (one being the in Salento unavoidable trout) including soup and some sort of juice. It was very cheap - and you get (a little more than) what you pay for.
