I may not have extensive experience with Peruvian cuisine, but I certainly recognize good food when I taste it! That's precisely what happened when my husband and I decided to dine at El Rocoto. Our server suggested several dishes from the menu, and each one was simply delicious. The prices were reasonable, and we even had leftovers to take home for dinner the next night (the containers they provided kept everything fresh). The restaurant also has vegetarian and vegan options available.
This used to be one of my favorite Peruvian restaurants, but I've recently noticed a decline in quality, and the prices no longer match the food's standard. Today, my wife and I ordered tuna ceviche, and the tuna was soggy, dark in color, and definitely didn’t taste fresh. Just look at the picture below—does this look like raw tuna you’d want to eat?

My friends and I dined here on Memorial Day. Although it was busy, we were seated relatively quickly. The waitstaff was also quite attentive to our needs.
