The experience you?ll have highly depends on whether your dining in or getting takeout. Sitting down and eating there can be a little unpleasant, especially during the karaoke night. It gets loud, like you could lose hearing loud. The bar area in the back is also extremely tiny. However the 5 stars they?ve rightly earned are based off of a large catered order and numerous takeout orders. The food is tremendous, the pernil was moist and tender. It also wasn?t drowning in asea of oil and grease like so many other places do. The espaguetis was another strong dish. Many people at my event never had it before, and are obsessed with it now. Wow! This was hands down the best cheese mofongo I've ever tasted! It was soft and incredibly flavorful! The garlic and red sauce that accompanied it were fantastic too! The pollo asado was also delicious! The phone service for delivery was friendly and professional, which I really appreciated. My food was delivered hot and with minimal wait time, which is hard to find these days! Next time, I’ll be giving the delivery person a double tip! As a self-proclaimed food critic who has tried nearly every restaurant in NYC, I highly recommend this place!

I have dined at this restaurant and also ordered delivery several times. My favorite dish used to be the shrimp pastelitos, as they were always packed with shrimp and absolutely delicious when I ate in. However, during my last four orders for delivery (and I usually order a dozen or more), they've mostly been large pockets of overly salty, fried dough with only 3-4 shrimp in each. The boneless chicken chicharrón was excellent, packed with flavor and definitely not bland. The rice and beans were tasty, and the morisqueta was also enjoyable.
The food was disappointing! The chicken was undercooked, the rice was not fully done, and overall, everything was unappetizing and unpleasant.
They always follow my instructions and their food always taste so amazing. The best local spanish spot on doordash! Never disappoints.
