I found this place while strolling through the area on the afternoon I arrived in Toronto for a weekend conference. I love Mexican food, it was a hot afternoon, so it was perfect. I sat on the patio, and my first experience was that the table was still sticky from the previous patrons. The young waitresses were a bit uncertain of their English, but their service was relatively good it was a very busy afternoon. I made my order and then after a few minutes I asked my waitress if I had seen correctly that there was complimentary chips and salsa. I repeated the question a couple of times, using the words complimentary and free, because I could tell she wasn’t sure. I felt she finally understood...
Came here on a busy Sunday afternoon with a friend. Got their El Trompo Combo which included a bean soup and five tacos of your choice. Tried the pork, chorizo, and chicken tacos. Found the tacos to be a bit underseasoned for my palate and the meat was on the dry side. Best taco was the chicken one. The soup, prepared with beans, bacon, Mexican sausage, onions, and tomatoes, was the highlight as it was rich and full of flavour. Also got a tamarindo and it wasn't sweet or sour enough : In contrast, the service and atmosphere was great! Overall, not bad but there are plenty better out there.
Stopped in for lunch. Guacamole was excellent, and really liked the homemade iced tea. The quesadilla was just a tortilla and some meat super plain. The fajitas filling was plentiful, but the meats were small, dry pieces of chicken and beef. It was definitely a case of quantity over quality. Service was nice however.It was a bustling place so maybe we just picked the wrong mains. But we have definitely had better Mexican food and would not recommend this place (save for guacamole and drinks, which we would come back for).
I was a bit disappointed. Food was okay. The taco shell tasted doughy and wasn’t cooked fully. Biggest disappointment was when I asked for extra lime, they said that they need to charge for it. Like come on… you are a mexican taco place, there should be unlimited limes and even some other taco place gives free guac!All I can say is that yes, you might have saved 5 cents for a slice of lime, but you earned a one star review.Overall, the place was hot and tables were sticky. Not the cleanest environment.

We ordered two taco, AI Pastor and Tinga. The corn tortillas are very awful. Its cold, wet and tasteless. I don’t think it was cooked properly. The meats is dry. No sauce.Nachos is better. But Very little cheese. Corn chips are wet and soft. Still not recommend.A waste of money.
The restaurant's decor clearly reflects its Mexican theme. The tacos, including chorizo and Al Pastor, were both delicious and affordable. The chorizo was particularly noteworthy for its spiciness and generous portions of meat. We definitely plan on returning in the future!
