This restaurant offers regular-sized tortilla tacos. While it's okay for smaller tacos to use two tortillas, I believe using two tortillas for larger tacos is somewhat excessive. I visited on Taco Tuesday, when the tacos were priced at $1.25 each, and I ordered ten, expecting a bill of $12.50. However, my final bill exceeded $16, and since I paid in cash, there were no card fees to account for. The restaurant was quite busy, and it felt like they were rushing out tacos too quickly. The large tacos had thick tortillas that hardly held a decent amount of meat, and the tortillas seemed undercooked, suggesting my order was hurried. This is my second visit, and the Menudo here is amazing! I'm really happy we found this place near the land we just purchased. I've tried Menudo at various restaurants before, but it never quite satisfied me. I decided to give it one last shot, and I'm so glad I did. The Enchiladas and Costilla (pork ribs in red sauce) are also fantastic. You definitely have to try the guacamole! The customer service is excellent too. This will definitely be our go-to spot whenever we're in town.
This is really reminiscent of a California taco truck burrito. It comes wrapped in foil. The lettuce isn't quite what I'm used to, but that's just my preference. If you're looking for an authentic California burrito, I recommend the carne asada burrito without lettuce, pico, or sour cream. It's fantastic! The tostadas are amazing, and the tacos are spot on. Truly excellent Mexican food!
This place is the most authentic Mexican restaurant in Tahlequah, and the meat choices prove it before tasting anything. The servers are kind. The food is always perfect and they have great diverse options. Tuesdays are dollar taco days and they often have great weekend specials. You can?t go wrong ordering from here! I ordered two horchatas, one medium and one large, but was informed there was only enough for one medium. Despite this, I was still charged for both horchatas and only received the medium. After realizing the situation, I asked to cancel the second horchata since there wasn't enough available.
The lack of air conditioning made for an uncomfortable experience, which affected my enjoyment of the meal. While the carnitas were somewhat bland, the refried beans were quite good. The rice was average and needed more seasoning.
The menudo and tamales are truly exceptional! Everything I've tasted from this restaurant is delicious. Without a doubt, it's the best authentic Mexican food I've enjoyed since leaving New Mexico.

I didn't get my red and green salsa with the street tacos, and the steak had some tough and chewy pieces. The quality is usually reliable, but today was a bit disappointing.
