Not exactly sure what kind of experience people are having here but I've been here recently and the coffee is great. If you've been in Hamburg a while you've been to Elbgold at one of their locations and you either come for the coffee or you don't. Nevertheless, I found the people here to be pleasant and didn't get any negative vibe whatsoever. They didn't treat and greet me like family but I am not regularly here. They did their job, I had a great coffee, sat at the counter and worked on my computer a bit, and then went about the rest of my day happily. Coffee and Banana bread were amazing. However, the girl who took my order was giving so much negativity vibe right away when I entered the cafe. (Not busy at all and what I observed it was only toward me Barista was smiling and of course I smiled to all of them. Der Kaffee war gut, ich habe einen entkoffeinierten Cappuccino für 3 € bestellt, der sehr schön zubereitet war. Der Ort hatte eine Toilette, die ebenfalls sauber war. Leider bot das Geschäft keine französischen Brötchen an, aber eine kleine Auswahl an Kuchen. Das Personal war freundlich und immer gut gelaunt!
best oatmilk cappuccino I had in Hamburg so far : however, the place itself is not so inviting, as there are only bar stools. I would have liked to come here also with friends etc. but the sitting situation makes it impossible. despite this, 5 stars for the tasty coffee! :

Elbgold hat den besten Kaffee, den ich bisher in Hamburg hatte. Auch das Bananenbrot ist nicht zu verachten. Der Service war immer gut und das Personal stets freundlich. Nach dem Lockdown schaue ich auf jeden Fall wieder vorbei.
Bestes Café! Hol mir bitte einen Standard Flati oder Cappuccino, wenn ich auf dem Weg ins Zentrum bin. Laktosefreie billige H-Milch ist zu den Preisen nicht so gut. Zum Vergleich: Die normale Milch ist der Hammer!
Am gesamten Kaffee-Fan von Elbgold Kaffee, ist relativ teuer, aber der Kaffee ist es absolut wert. Einfach genießen!
