A very disappointing experience, we've tried to find quality food in NJ compared to the Michelin starred restaurants in NYC so gave Elements a shot. The food was very underwhelming, dishes were incoherent and the service was poor for such a limited number of tables. We did the wine pairing which was similarly poorly chosen and executed Sake served mid meal was really strange), first couple of glasses were poured heavily at the start, they eventually adjusted. The menu was very seafood heavy which I didn't mind, but the quality and taste left a lot to be desired. Dishes were over seasoned and undercooked as other reviews have pointed out. I love the restaurant more than others in my family. Food is usually excellent. My only issue with last night (and I understand I had made the booking less than 24 hrs earlier) was that replacing a steak/beef course (for non-beef eaters) with a third fish course is not the best idea. For a restaurant like Elements, they should find lamb (or pork/chicken). In addition, Kimchi is too strong for many palettes.
What an incredibly experience! Caroline was so knowledgeable, as well as the two other gentlemen that served us. Every bite of every course offered exciting and different combination of flavors that left us in awe. The wines that were paired with each course complimented the bites beautifully. Cannot wait to come back.
Elements is a destination for us. The food offerings are creative and perfectly presented. The server's knowledge of the wine and beer pairings is impeccable. It was an amazing experience, you expect the prices to be high at a fine dining establishment. The cocktails were mediocre but the food, the leveling of taste and the fun ways the chefs incorporated the items in the dishes was amazing.
Chef Anderson creates amazing dishes. Unique, beautiful, finest quality and absolutely delicious. Service is impeccable but not over the top. It is expensive, but worth every penny. My highest recommendation.
It was the best meal we’ve had in Princeton. Perfect for an anniversary or birthday. They were able to make every course gluten free which was a treat.
