Der Weinkeller hat einen Platz auf dem kleinen und winzigen Platz, direkt hinter dem Zentrum, im wunderschönen Dorf Rust, das definitiv einen Besuch wert ist. Wir haben eine Weinprobe mit drei Weinen alle aus dem Burgenland probiert und haben uns dann entschieden, ein Dutzend Flaschen verschiedener Weine zu kaufen. Das Personal war wirklich herzlich, gut gelaunt und großzügig, uns viele Weine probieren zu lassen, da wir Ausländer sind und nicht viel über ihre Spezialitäten wissen. Es war eine sehr gute Erfahrung. Wir empfehlen diesen Ort auf jeden Fall!
Der Elfenhof in Rust lädt selber in seiner feinen Art zum Verweilen ein, und erst recht direkt, wenn man das Glück hat, die Frau Wunderl dort anzutreffen. Ganz eine tolle persönliche Beratung, man sitzt auf Lammfelle in heimelig versteckten Ecken, und die Weine! Nur noch von dem Marillenbrand getoppt, wo man das Obst direkt herausschmeckt. Wir schauten dreimal in zwei Tage vorbei: das sagt schon alles!

Wir besuchten die Schenke , die einen Stand , mitten in der Stadt aufgestellt hatte. Grüße bei der Gelegenheit an den Toni, den Schankkellner. Es war immer lustig und wir haben die guten Wein genossen.
Ausgezeichnete und gemütliche Verkostung, gut ausgewählte Mischung aus Rotweinen (Ruster Rubin empfohlen) für ihn, süße Schaumweine für sie.
Will man gut und nett sitzen und dabei herrliche Weine geniessen, ist der Elfenhof genau richtig, zu jedem Wein erhält man eine Information
Wunderschöne Sitzgelegenheiten auf dem Platz. Guter Wein. Sehr angenehm, einen der wenigen verbliebenen Störche zu beobachten.
