Here is a copy of our email exchange with the management of Elkhorn. Hello Peter, sorry for the delayed response. Mélanie has my contact information. I apologize for not making it on time. Almost two weeks ago, I made two reservations on their website for dinner on either the 14th or 15th of February, but they cancelled on me. However, we are not too disappointed because if the lunch experience is any indication, we were convinced to try their dinner. You have no idea what you're missing out on. The Swiss cuisine there is top-notch. They might even do better in the evening. But I have my doubts. Furthermore, $16.00 for six small potatoes and three slices of cheese is overpriced.
This restaurant offers a stunning view of the mountains along with delicious food and drinks. Their main specialties are Raclette Luncheon and a tasty Goulash soup. They also have a selection of wine and beer available. The service is friendly and the atmosphere is cozy, making it a perfect spot to take a break during a day of skiing. The cabin is situated at the top of a run called Rollercoaster and can be seen on the right side when riding the Horizon chairlift. They also have washrooms available outside. I highly recommend a visit to Elkhorn Cabin for your next ski panorama experience.
We stopped at the Elkhorn Cabin as it was too perfect to pass by covered in snow, perched over the edge of the mountain with amazing views. It didn't disappoint! The cabin is small and cozy with a small menu some wine/beer/spirits and...a few yummy options for food. We had hot apple cider (kids and grown up), good wine and then an order of the raclette so good. I could have eaten there every day we skied.....and could have spent the afternoon sipping wine by the wood stove a must when skiing down rollercoaster to pop by.

Small, quaint log cabin on the side of the mountain with phenomenal views. Lounges and tables set up for your retreat from the cold. The menu covers a lovely selection of warming treats from soups, Raclette (a great choice! to sweet cinnamon buns. We will...definitely be back. It’s small so best to try outside the busiest times.
For a unique dining experience, head to this hidden gem of a restaurant without a sign. I was surprised to find that not only is the raclette delicious, but the portions are quite small. Keep this in mind if you've worked up an appetite after a morning of skiing.
