What a fantastic place, I was recommended Ellenden farm shop for afternoon tea, it was to celebrate my dads 80th birthday, but unfortunately he's no longer with us, but we still had to Mark this special day, i was recommended it, and we had a lovely time, the food was exceptional, all freshly prepared and there was so much ,sandwiches, cakes, strawberries (the best I've ever had) and pots of tea , we even took home a doggy bag , the staff were so lovely and attentive and couldn't do enough for us, they had a lovely outdoor area, for children to run around in and a lovely farm shop to buy loyally produced products from , you must book because it is very popular and I can certainly see why , I...
Had a wonderful lunch here. Attentive, personal and friendly service, food and drink served promptly and probably the best Ploughman's I have eaten. This included many home made items including coleslaw and a fresh salad with dressing. It was a substantial portion which exceeded my expectations. My husband's vegetarian cooked breakfast was also very generous and tasty. It is a lovely cafe to visit and a great farm shop to have a look around.
My wife and I had a wonderful cream tea experience at Ellenden Farm Shop. We each enjoyed 12 finger sandwiches, a scone with jam and cream, and a selection of six cakes, accompanied by two pots of delicious tea. We were so full after the sandwiches and scones that the staff kindly packed up the cakes for us to take home. At £20 per person, it was excellent value for money. We highly recommend it.
I found this place to be a gem on the way back home down south. I ordered the ploughman's and it was a hearty portion. The food was delicious, the staff was friendly, and the service was impeccable. The restaurant was bustling with locals, which is always a positive sign.

Called in for breakfast we had a regular and a vegetarian breakfast, with a coffee. All cooked to perfection and served on hot plates, and the coffee was one of the best we have had in a long time. Really good value for the local produce served.
Sara at Ellenden provided us with an excellent Xmas food order. The meat and vegetables were the best we've had in a while. It's great to have a local business that caters so well for everyone. The cafe is also fantastic for breakfast and lunch.
What a great find. Hidden gem to be sure. Wonderful breakfast, and they actually made Mum some fried bread specially! Plus a cafe who knows how to use a coffee machine. A rarity in my experience. Don't hesitate to visit.
Great spot for a breakfast or lunch! We were visiting the area for a couple of days and called in for breakfast and it was lovely, really great full English breakfast, with the friendliest staff! Truly great spot.
