Enjoyed a delicious meal on the outdoor patio. We were surrounded by happiness, warmth, and friendly people on surfers paradise. At night had dinner and drinks (the espresso martini is a must), then came back the next day. Read my book and had a drink with a friend, and ended up conversing with several other parties. The host and all of the staff were not only professional and exceptional at their jobs, but wanted to personally take care of us and ensure that we had the best experience possible. Best selection of food and drinks in Surfer's Paradise with exceptional staff and an unparalleled view. Elston was frequented by all age and social groups.
The service at the Elston was fantastic the staff were attentive and took time to make conversation and noticed our daughter was looking tired and ensured her meal came out quickly. We sat outside and we're offered blankets for our laps to keep the chill off but found the outside heaters offered enough warmth. I had the flavoursome not too hot coconut seafood curry which included prawns and scallops which were tender and cooked to perfection, the presentation of the dish was amazing being served in a coconut sealed with pastry. Real first class foody food and service at affordable prices.
After ordering coffees here it took a good 25 mins to get them and then we ordered the fried chicken sliders. When we got them the chicken on the sliders was literally 1 inch big on the burger and the buns were stale!! When I complained whilst paying my bill I was asked by the waiter "are you sure they're stale" aahhh YES i replied , all I got was oh sorry about that !! Bad service , bad food, ok coffee but I will not be back.....aimed at tourists and one time visitors certainly not locals !!
Visiting from NZ wandering down boardwalk looking for somewhere for evening meal. t'his place stands out. Helpful server guiding menu choice, getting us great table and even ensuring gas heater close. (it was a cold night 18 degrees!!!) Quick service for drinks and nottoo long to wait for meal. Absolutely sensational food, my husband had the 3 little pigs and I have the potato hash! Best brunch I have had in a long time - we will be going back there again once or twice before we leave the Gold Coast! Worth the price
Referred here by a Starbucks Coffee employee, and a great recommendation it was! Ordered fish and chips. One order is enough to feed 2 people. Came with a side of calamari. Great seaside setting, wonderful view!
Enjoyed our dinner tonight, Steak, chips salad with a side order of greens, a beer and a coke $72. Great value, friendly welcoming Irish (?) waiter. Definitely would go again.
