We were craving Chinese food tonight so went to this place in the neighbourhood. I was stoked that it had such high ratings on TripAdvisor. Ordered Hunan Beef, Mongolian Chicken, and Singapore noodles to go. The food was nice and hot and the noodles were really delicious. The other two dishes were on the poor side of average; thin strips of chewy meat...the spices were okay, but the meat was disappointing. I will say that the service was great: fast and friendly, but we probably won't be going back here again.
The food and service was wonderful. We decided to order drinks. There was a long list of different liquors you can order. We each ordered a drink and they did not have either in stock. One Whisky and one Rum in the restaurant when they list five of each on the menu. I did hear other people being told other drinks were out of stock. Maybe make a smaller drink menu if you do not have what is on the current one.
Emerald Garden was recommended to us by a friend who lives locally. It is one of the finest Chinese restaurants I have encountered anywhere. The service is courteous and efficient, and the cuisine is first rate. It is also very reasonable. Our party cost $140.00 for seven adults, all inclusive. Easily accessible by Calgary Transit bus direct, or by LRT (train then bus).
A dim sum buffet with many items being authentic Chinese food. The buffet is not like many of the Chinese buffets that we have eaten at. One of the items was chicken feet, which I tend to like but do not find it on any of the buffets except in China town. The buffet items appear to be cooked in small quantities and replenished frequently.

Ordered take out chinese food from Emerald Garden and it was simply terrible. For the first time EVER I threw out the leftovers....I never do that!...until now.
Much like the old saying about too much of a good thing, Artichoke Basille's seems to throw too many artichokes and cheese on their slice and call it a day.
This location has an seated area as well as a takeout section with a separate entrance on the other side.
Came for a family dinner. Great ginger beef and pineapple prawns and amazing dumplings. Will be back.

6 of us went to dinner on a Tuesday night; excellent service, excellent food. Would highly recommend.
