First, I want to preface this review and mention that I have eaten at Emilio's on countless occasions (50 as I used to work nearby. Emilio's is in my personal top 20 eats in NOVA. However, with all that said, I have had my first negative experience which has left me questioning whether or not I want to return.I write this review out of concern for customer health and safety and to bring this to owner attention. The first time I came here a year or two ago, I thought it was one of the best pizzas in the DMV, coming from someone who is used to New York style pizza. Or just decent quality pizza that you can only find in NY, Philly, CT, or Boston.Today I had revisited and was highly disappointed. Ingredients were good quality and even though I had asked for “well done”, the crust was incredibly thick, chewy, not airy, and far from well done. No crisp and floppy. It felt like any unremarkable other middle of America pizza. I thought I had found a pizza joint that stood out above everyone else for a DMV pizza, I was wrong.
my family and I go to emilio since I was a child for the pizza and the service. the pizza has always been great with a focus on qualitatiw high quality products and technology. the roma and her white are by far the best imho. Beyond that, emilio and his family always have a point to say hi, always accommodating, friendly and professional. there is a reason they have a loyal customer base. in an old place where mama and pop shops are replaced by chains, emilio still stays up!

emilio is never disappointed! for more than 20 years this is our favorite pizza spot. it's the only pizza my 17-year-old will eat. we always get the julian. the combination of the small ground sausage, with the pfefferoni, super thin red bevel, and the sweet tomato is pure perfection! thank you. roya, because we always feel special and feed us like family.
we have been going to emilio for years. eating is always amazing, the personal friendly and helpful, and the prices are competitive. according to my opinion, emilio is the best pizza in the northern Virginia area. I recommend it very much!
