This is a hidden gem of a place in the Poconos. The younger guy who works the front is a very nice person and is super knowledgeable on the menu and is eager to help the patrons who come in and aren't totally sure what they want yet. I am posting about two trips I made here, and both were 5 star trips. The first time in he told me that typically when someone comes for the first time they get the Pernil (which is basically a Puerto Rican roasted pork shoulder) with the yellow rice and pinto beans. We stopped here for dinner on the way to Ithaca Trip, I'm glad I found this amazing place on the map. Unfortunately, their dishes are sold out so quickly, we arrived there to 7, but only have pulled pork and two types of rice left, I chose seafood rice. I really enjoyed it, the rice is so tasteful, it is made with the taste of dried seafood (Clam, Shrimp and Squid), I can stop eating the rice. The pig and the beans are also great. The part is large, the food is warm, the price is good, owner is friendly, I also have the dessert from the refrigerator: Coco Flan, was also great! I'll come back when I come by!
This place is absolutely amazing since the moment you go. Erick, his brother and his mother will welcome you as if you are part of the family and offer you to taste their food to make sure you eat what you want. We didn't make any pictures of it, but here are the pictures of the succession. We couldn't leave a piece on the record. On the way they offered us another delicacies from their menu, beef and cheese, we wish we could have eaten more, this place is a treasure. We will definitely be back on our way to drop our daughter to Penn State University!
Amazing food, people and atmosphere! Family owned and run, once you walk threw the doors you feel welcomed and loved by the people and food! My husband says it was nice that the owner him self shock hands together and introduced his family. It goes a long way and made my husbands night with the amazing food you prepared! I can’t say enough about there food from the empanadas, chicken, pork, steak it’s all so delicious no matter what you order and the serving size is enough to feed a small village!

Very nice lunch/dinner, very cheap prices! the empanadas were a little fat, but tasty and made fresh - the crusts were excellent? We had the cattle cheese and chicken cheese. The beef could have been a bit more tasty, but the chicken cheese was excellent! The dining room is not beautiful, but functional and bright. The owner(? /staff in the register was so friendly and cheerful and welcoming! You definitely feel like eating in your house.
Wow!! The ratings are right Emilios Place is worth the stop. A counter serve empanada place, you can count on great service, friendly people, delicious food, and good vibes. I stopped in during a business trip I am from Colorado and I am so glad I did. Great hiking food, which is exactly what I wanted, and the staff were so so kind. Will return whenever I am back in the area!
The portion sizes at this restaurant are very small. I ordered a large pernil, but the serving of beans was only half a spoonful. The prices are high for the amount of food served. I could get twice as much food for the same price at other places. Although the food tasted good, the small portions make it not worth returning.
MEGA WOW! This is AMAZING. Someone brought rice and empanadas to my sisters baby shower and I know where they got them. The food is extremely tasteful and the staff is so friendly. They even let us try some things to see if we liked it before the decision. You have to stop here!

The tres leche dessert was delicious. The Mofongo with pernil was phenomenal. Loved the rice but the pink beans were fantastic! You will often find the owners working there and they are amazing people. I can't wait to go back!
The food was so delicious and the owners were friendly and nice. Would definitely recommend if you never had spanish food or haven't found GOOD spanish food in the area.
