We are big fans of Ethiopian food; the richness of the flavours, the variety among all the dishes, and the wonderful spice combinations with the delicious injera to sop it all up with. We've eaten at Ensira twice now and had a great experience both times. The service was attentive while allowing us to enjoy our meal in privacy, and the server recommended a very nice Kenyan beer that went very well with the dishes we had ordered. There was even live music, which added to the ambience without making it hard to have a conversation. Highly recommended! We will be back and we'll bring friends next time.
We were in Calgary for a medical visit and wanted to go to an Ethiopian restaurant because there isn't one in our town. Our twins are Ethiopian and we have eaten great Ethiopian food all over the world.Ensira is warm and inviting. The owners (they own the Ethio Afrik store next door - great injera and bread to buy!) are kind and welcoming. The food is delicious. We had the Doro and the Bozena Shiro. Both were very good. We loved the Bozena Shiro so much, we ordered another helping. The injera was really good too - very authentic. We'll definitely be back!
The restaurant has beautiful decoration with a rose on every table. The service was friendly and fast. I ordered the veg/meat platter, which was tasty with a variety of spices and flavors. I enjoyed the unique experience of eating with my hands. The portion size was large and the meal was well worth the price. Overall, I had a great time and thoroughly enjoyed it!
The food was excellent, and I can't wait to come back. The server was friendly. The wine choices were a bit limited, but it wasn't a big deal. We had difficulty figuring out how to leave a tip on the card machine since there was no option for it, and the server didn't understand our inquiries.

The waiter was fantastic! They consistently made sure we had everything we needed and were very efficient. The food was delicious. The only drawback was that they only had one variety of sambusa and limited chicken options. The atmosphere was excellent.
Great family style restaurant. Very authentic. We had a wonderful experience with four of our children. Very unique flavours. The staff was very helpful and attentive. If you don't like lamb, I wouldn't eat here.
This was our first time dining at this restaurant and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The atmosphere was fantastic, the food was delicious, and the service was top-notch. We will definitely be returning in the future.
Not good. Everything was cold and the bread was straight out of the fridge. Wanted to love it but I didn't. We went at lunch, maybe it's better at dinner time.
