I've been at benedetta for three days. eating is always great. not what they expect from a typical pizza place and certainly not what we experience in this opposite. the usual pizza place uses cheap white flour, not here, they can say from the taste. concerning the competition, eating here is very, very close to real italians, except they do not have any breacciole on the menu. Overall, the service is great, the girls welcome them always with a real smile and only disturb them when they need them. they are very attentive and let them enjoy their meal. The place is relatively new and in my opinion it’s above average that the MANY other pizzeria within two mile radius. Although their pizza is on the pricier side but the Sauce is Fantastic! However I think they can use less oil. Almost every time we had had a take out, by the time we get home (which is 5-8 mins drive), it gets difficult to take out the slice as the topping falls apart. We have gotten their pizza more than half a dozen times and this was the case at least 5 times. We think it’s the oil as the bottom of the Pizza Box gets soaked from it. I ordered a 2 pie special with garlic knots and buffalo wings which was an appealing value. Overall the experience was decent. I ordered on seamless so we were given a 60-70 minute delivery window which the food arrived about 10 minutes early. The garlic knots were good and their tomato dipping sauce was flavorful. The buffalo wings had good flavor but the breading was wet and mushy which was very off-putting. The pizza was decent, not noteworthy. Unfortunately, the food was barely lukewarm so I think that also added to the unpleasant experience. Their SAUCE is to die for. From Plain to Grandma, the pizza is delicious. You can eat a whole pie and not even realize Sauce, Crust cheese everything is perfect. So glad they opened up here! Definitely my new go to pizza spot! I Can't wait to try what else in on the menu . You gotta try it!! From the food to service, not place compares yet. this was earlier another pizzaria/restaurant and was taken over by new owners last year. the new owner mike was really nice and the pizza I had was fantastic. I'm originally from Brooklyn and that beats most of the pizza I had in the opposite. I can't wait to go back. I recommend the Sicily he gave me when I tried. sauce, teig and perfect mix of cheese makes it amazing. thank you.
They use good quality cheese that is difficult to find here recently. The place Sicilian is a winner for our children. We had six consistent experiences. They also apply some well paid dinners, we haven't tried these yet, as we tend to swing early for the guys. We are in the area three years and this is the first place where we met six great pizzas in a row worth 5 stars.
My husband and I often eat out and we visited other pizzerias in the area. From our first meal at Benedetta we did not go to another pizzeria. The pizza is amazing, so good I can not even choose, a favorite food is fresh and made to order. The sauce tastes like made at home. It is friendly and the restaurant has a family atmosphere Benedetta is NO 1 in Matawan by far.
It is now called Bella Noona. We had a veggie pie and Sicilian Pie...both out of this world! New owner Peter takes pride in all the food and personally makes sure everything is to your liking!
