What a lovely way to end our trip to Québec City. We had a short tour and explanation of the collecting syrup from the maple trees at the property. They have an Incredible maple forest. Our tour guide was a very nice young woman, who explained everything so carefully. Then we were invited into the Sugar Shake family style Lunch. The room was rustic and had long pine tables with benches for seating. We were greeted by a lively entertainer, who played the fiddle, sang folk songs and had us play wooden spoons. it brought back my memories of growing up in SW Ontario with our weekly dances. There was a homemade all you can eat family style menu of French Canadian pea soup, country bread and butter...

We were in Quebec City last week, and decided to drive up there the day after the big snow storm. We checked the website, but we did not call ahead or make any reservation. That was a mistake. The drive from Quebec City was only 20 - 30 minutes. On the website, it said the lunch would be served at 1:00 pm. It was around 12:30 pm when we got there. People were already finishing lunch, and we were told that they had lunch at 12:00 pm that day, and they did not have any more food left to serve us. That's a disappointment. We were however able to eat as many taffy as we like (for a price $6 per person) and that was awesome. The taffy was fresh, chewy, and just out of this world. Wished we could...

We stopped at this delightful sugar shack with a Globus bus tour. We spent some time learning about how maple syrup is made. Our guide was informative and entertaining. After that we gathered in a rustic wood building for a family style breakfast. The restaurant had long benches for seating. It was a hearty breakfast of bacon, sausages, scrambled eggs, potatoes, toast, meat pie, pancakes and of course maple syrup. To add to the experience, a delightful fiddler entertained us inviting our participation in song and playing wooden spoons (which were provided.)They have a nice gift shop.We all enjoyed this experience and no one left hungry!

Enjoyable maple themed breakfast with informative talk from a nice young woman who spoke very good English. Not much to see really. Yes, it is a shack in a wooded clearing. Nothing much to see of the process either. Great big breakfast though - all you can eat but was full after having a plate full really. Maple nice touch and did not spoil savoury taste of the sausage and bacon. Did not have room for pancakes and meat pie, which is not my idea of breakfast anyway but everyone else seemed to like it. Enough food to last me all day. Price of excursion is about what you end up paying in hotels so worth it. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch

We visited with a group of teens. They got to learn about where maple syrup comes from and how it is produced. They got to spend some time tubing, followed by a fantastic meal with awesome and local entertainment. The musician had most of them up, participating and dancing. We all had full bellies from supper, then got to enjoy taffy followed by a wagon ride (which they claimed was a sleigh ride) We will be back!

Called to be added to a visiting group because it it's not the season. They first explain how they do the maple syrup. Then you have an all you can eat buffet of Quebecois specialities and then a little local dancing and pancakes for dessert. Very interesting, good food, and enjoyable tourist view of the local customs.

Our tour enjoyed an authentic Sugar Shack Breakfast! Delicious and plentiful Quebecois breakfast of scrambled eggs, Canadian bacon, maple sausage, smoke maple ham, potatoes, country bread pancakes, and the list continued! After our delicious breakfast we were treated to a guided presentation of Maple Syrup making.

We visited here for breakfast on our trip to Canada and what a place. Fantastic food, as much as you can eat, great atmosphere. Rose the owner is a star, does everything herself, even serves in the little shop.
