Chose this hotel for a stop over as it is near the motorway and the town looked like it had a few restaurant choices, local shops and woodland walks. Unfortunately the hotel rooms are dated, tired and have seen better days. There was mould in the shower, the bed sunk in the middle, there is no kettle and very little else In the room. Worst of all was the noise from the square; shouting, laughing, banging, motorbikes, etc until 2.30am, we did not get much sleep. Checked out the menu on arrival and it looked limited and expensive, moreover the place was empty but other restaurants and bars were packed, so we went elsewhere to eat. we knew about Erckmann-Chatrian as a writer and were curious to test the same name restaurant in phalsbourg on the way to straßburg. the dining room is typical of luxurious Alsatian villas with wood trim and thick carpet. products are all homemade, menus are worth a...big. the wine selection rich and for all purses. we have finished our pleasant meal with a cup of coffee and fresh bakery on the sunny terrace.
we had a casual dinner here on the way to straßburg. no reservation, we just arrived on a busy Saturday night, two friends, one of whom is vegetarian. the host sat immediately after confirming that they have a vegetarian menu. the service was. fast and impeccable, eating fresh and tasty. the prices are not cheap for each of the menus, but worth it.
I had the opportunity to eat my lunch and dinner at this place during some of my often visited phalsbourg, and I strongly recommend it. good French cuisine, good wee also, good and quiet atmosphere make it a place to go.
