there was a separate vegan menu with so much choice i didn’t know what to have! i ordered chips and dips the salsa and guacamole was delicious garlic bread which was lovely and soft, mushroom soft tacos which were incredible the coriander crema was delicious and patatas bravas which was my favourite!! i was just blown away by the choice and variety of the vegan menu! AND the churros were also delicious. my family shared some of my vegan food and they loved it as well. it is a hidden gem! would defo come here again!!

we've been pissing off, but we're gonna be worth looking out. visited without booking and although busy found us a table. beautiful staff, very relaxed and space has a younger mood than most local restaurants. we chose six tapas dishes to share between two of us and found that be enough. churros in chocolate sauce for pud! everything very beautiful!

(I’d give it 5 stars if HC let me! Top notch food, attentive staff. We had a spread of large and small plates, particularly loved the vegan nachos. If you’re in the area, this is a must (2 days later we also went to the one in Keswick that was just as lovely they have the restaurant formula nailed down . Impressive vegan tapas . We had the patatas bravas (always a winner), soft shell tacos with mushrooms (divine) nachos and onion rings . had a good meal here from their vegan menu! many options for vegans/veggies and a beautiful ambiente in the inner. really central in ambleside and fab cocktail menu. dog-friendly too! 100% recommended! favourite dishes were tapas salad, patatas bradvas and nachos!

Lots of vegan food to choose from. Great atmosphere. Good selection of craft beer and wine. Cosy decor. If only we'd known they do vegan churros for dessert..we wouldn't have eaten sooooo much! Friendly staff. #Veganuary Updated from previous review on 2022-01-13

Really enjoyed the food and cocktails at Bar Es. Ask for the separate vegan menu. Lots of choice.
