This restaurant has a location many restaurant owners would die for but because there is a captive golfing audience on site the chief/patron appears to make no effort at all.We have visited the restaurant several times over several years in the belief that it must eventually get better but it never does.The food is bland, pre prepared and the service is slower than a sloth on sedatives. On one visit last year on asking for cheese we were told that they had forgotten to put the order in - that I think sums up this restaurant.If you visit Pont Royal do not be tempted to eat here - save your money and eat at a restaurant that values your custom.
On visiting the resort late in the season this was the only restaurant available to eat in. Overall the cost was extortionate considering the quality of the food, with no lower cost option available.The furniture was very comfortable and the building itself has worn well - looks in mature but good condition.For anyone eating at the resort this would surely be the last resort. We trvalled all around the area over the course of a week and found every other choice better than here.
I had forgotten the name of the place but as we are returning to the area later this year, I searched and found that this site was registered. I was in a golfing party earlier this year and on our last evening we decided to go to the club restaurant. This was despite being advised about suspect service. We should have heeded the advice as our time spent there was extremely disappointing. The prices charged are high here and do not match up to the experience.
We had a great time as a family at the Pont Royal golf restaurant. Very friendly welcome, attentive service, and quality of dishes for a consistent price... what more could you ask for??? It therefore clearly stands out from the other restaurants in the complex. In addition, access is immediate from the Pierre et Vacances center We will come back, for sure! Pitched up without a reservation and did not feel entirely welcome initially . Nevertheless a lovely meal . Only 2 staff serving : working hard but not enough for the number of diners. One dessert served 10 minutes after the rest : delicious and many apologies but still . Would certainly go back but would make a reservation next time
