Utterly bizzare experience. My partner and I swung by to see if we could get a table, they ended up being full that night so we asked if there was a booking the following evening (Sunday). The owner/server seemed super hesitant to give us that slot, but he did reluctantly and began telling us what to expect with the menu. He seemed irritated that I didn’t eat meat and somewhat patronising about allergens. We arrived the next evening to a beautiful setting but to a fairly frosty reception from the owner/server. The ambiance is very nice, the service is good. The dishes offered partly tasteless. As a starter there was coscous salad, beetroot salad, and a flatbread with tomatoes on it. Well, I don't exactly imagine that as first gear. The subsequent course: fish with a tasteless sauce was also not convincing. Then came very tasty meat and for dessert a delicious cream, on which there were a few pieces of canned fruit. All in all, we expected more, especially since we have visited the restaurant before in 2019 and were very satisfied. Very good food in a relaxed, romantic atmosphere, away from the hustle and bustle of Cala Ratjada. Here it's not about seeing and being seen, it's about quality time. The service is charming and unobtrusive. The weekly changing menu leaves nothing to be desired. Delicious tasting menu, every course was a new flavour. Delicious wine, and lovely kind service. A true family business with confidence in their quality.
