Henley Beach is a nice place to be on a warm Adelaide evening, and Estia is perfectly situated right at the entrance. Estia carries off the air of a casual, laidback beach restaurant and at the same time offers high class dining service. The waiters and waitresses were very attentive and professional with their service. We ordered for dinner, pita bread with taramasalata (cod roe dip), melizanosalata (eggplant dip) and htipiti (feta, chilli, capsicum dip) as dips; sikoti (fried chicken liver); gigandes (lima beans) and tis skaras arnaki (chargrilled lamb). Visited the establishment with some friends.Ordered a platter of various Greek dishes to share. The platter worked well on the table in terms of variety and portion for us three adults and two children. We had made a booking earlier in the week for outside but the restaurant moved the booking indoors as it was exceptionally cold on the day. Two fires added to the relaxed atmosphere inside the establishment. The staff were very friendly to the children and offered up a toy to entertain them while we waited for our meal. One of the children broke a wine glass over the table - the staff were quick and friendly in cleaning up and getting the mess out of the way. The wine menu had a good variety...

We booked a table at the Estia as we had previously been there and knew the food atmosphere was great. It was my birthday so my family decided to go out, we got there on time everything was going well. However when we got there they sat us next to the entrance of the toilets... It was very hard to eat our meal seeing people go in and out of the bathroom. As well as knowing we were paying the same price as everyone however had a horrible table. On top of that the waitress was extremely pushy she said the specials menu so fast and was very unclear. It also felt like she was rushing us to order so we would get up and leave. The food was amazing. It cost a lot less than I expected as well. So much so that we left probably the largest tip percentage wise we ever have. We had the pleasure of interacting with five different staff on the day, and every single one of them was upbeat, fun, and seemed like they were having a great time being there. Whoever hired Alex, Larissa, Ethan, Harrietta, and Nicolai (And the head chef was Hus) should win some kind of award. Actually they probably already have. Watching the team working together was a pleasure. I tried to poach one of the staff but she said she was happy where she was. I cant wait to go again.
Recent dinner with party of 5. Sat outside on a nice night, quickly served & orders taken. Waiter made some suggestions on how much we should order to satisfy us all and he was spot on. Started with Dips and then followed up with a meat selection with salad. Food was very tasty, service was good. Highly recommended. If i had to nitpick , they could have waited a little longer between courses as was had not yet finished our dips before they bought out the main.
Been there again tonight ....... What can I say ....... I am not Greek but been already in others Greek restaurant I can only say for my understanding about Greek cuisine this place is PERFECTION !!!!!!! Fair price probably for the quality I'll be even happy to pay few extra dollars..... The best time anyway is on summer, seating outside in the new lovely square and eating excellent food (prawn, snapper or king George fillet etc...). See you soon very soon
Not even close to Yia Yia's! Was very keen to try this place but was disappointed. Service was lovely, location is beautiful, but the food was a letdown. Very lacking in flavour. We had the spanikopita, melinzanasalata, moussaka and potates. Potates were mushy, moussaka was oily and the spanikopita was salty. Perhaps not the best Greek restaurant for vegetarians? The food wasn't too bad, but for what you pay I would rather go to Taverna and really get my money's worth. On the plus side, the chicken and lamb was amazing. Just wanted more on the plate. If you live in the area and you want Greek, then yeah why not. If you don't live in the area, then go somewhere closer.
